No previous STOTT PILATES® experience required but a background in fitness or movement modalities is recommend i.e.: Pilates, Yoga, Dance, Tai Chi. A synergistic blend of Pilates, Yoga and dance these Foundation courses are supported by the latest exercise science and findings in fascial fitness. They focus on core stability, stamina and resilience while attaining a state of presence and releasing body tension through purposeful movement. The use of Balls and springs increase the demand on the neuromuscular system and allows the participant to reap the benefits of improved strength, fitness, clarity, enhanced elasticity and creates a more youthful, resilient and fluid body.
ZEN represents the search for inner discovery, while YOGA symbolizes a pathway to reach it. Together they form ZEN*GA®, which is based on Four Mindful Movement Principles: breath, support, yield and flow. When applied together, these principles bring awareness of how the body and the mind move in tandem.
To earn the designation as a ZEN*GA® Instructor, attend the relevant course to receive a Certificate of Completion. There is no examination within this course. A one day 7 hour course (plus 1 hour lunch break)
